Technique & Recommendations
The journey will use the conscious connect breathing technique called euphoric breath and will also incorporate a few breath holds. We recommend the following steps to help you maximise your journey experience:
Pre-Journey:
Watch breath technique training video
Refrain from eating &/or drinking for at least 1-2Hrs prior
Make sure your electronic devices are charged or has a power supply
Switch mobile devices to airplane mode so as not to be distracted
Clear at least an hour post journey to reintegrate
For the journey:
We highly recommend using headphones for a more immersive experience (speakers are fine if not)
Ideally access Zoom via a Computer &/or mobile device
Find a comfortable lying position on a yoga mat / sofa / bed etc
Perhaps have a blanket, eye pillow, bolster, or cushions to hand for more comfort
Post journey:
Paper and pen to journal afterwards
Drink / eat something 1-2Hrs post journey
Try not to rush back into “normal” life for an hour or so afterwards

You don’t want to be emotionally and physically uncomfortable
You are not open to new ideas, and you don't believe you can change
You don’t want to connect with yourself on a deeper level
Medical and Psychiatric Contraindications to Participating in Breathwork
Breathwork may not be for you if you have the following conditions:
Cardiovascular problems;
High or abnormal blood pressure;
History of aneurysms, epilepsy, or history of seizures;
Severe psychiatric symptoms particularly psychosis or paranoia;
Bipolar disorder; Any person with mental illness who isn't in treatment or lacks adequate support;
Anyone on heavy medication;
An active addiction;
Recent surgery;
Glaucoma;
Pregnancy.
This list is not all inclusive and I generally recommend if you have a question about a condition you may have that is not listed, that you consult a physician before beginning breathwork. If you have or have had any of the listed conditions, I strongly recommend you consult a physician before beginning breathwork.
